Want to know more about England’s newest National Park?

The New Forest National Park has launched a handy sized pocket guide to help answer visitors’ and residents’ questions about England’s newest National Park.

The ‘Pocket Guide’ explains why the New Forest became a National Park, what it does, and what the National Park’s key purposes are:

To conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Park, and

To promote understanding and enjoyment of its special qualities.

The guide also contains a map of the New Forest, outlining the Park’s boundaries and 21 fascinating facts about the National Park.

Martin O’Neill, Head of Communications, said: ‘In these early months we have found that people are hungry for information about England’s newest National Park.  Our pocket guide includes answers to many of the questions we are asked most often.’

The Pocket Guide is available from a number of outlets in the Forest including; Visitor Information Centres, libraries, campsites, hotels, pubs, bus stations, major attractions and Bed and Breakfasts.
