National Park welcomes new Head of Development Control

The new Head of Development Control, Rob Ainslie, has started at the New Forest National Park Authority.

Mr Ainslie has more than 20 years’ experience in Development Control, including two years at Havant Borough Council, three years at Winchester City Council and more than 15 years at New Forest District Council. He has worked as a Principal Planner and a Team Leader and has been involved in a number of major applications.

Steve Avery, Director of Strategy and Planning, said: ‘I’m pleased to welcome Rob into the team. Not only does he have a wealth of experience but he also has a great knowledge of the local area and I look forward to working closely with him.’

Mr Ainslie added: ‘I am very fond of the New Forest as I spent many years working here, I enjoy the area and I am looking forward to the challenges that working for a National Park brings.’
