The Pig wins Sustainable Restaurant of the Year 2014

Congratualtions to The Pig, Brockenhurst for winning the National Restaurant Awards, Sustainable Restaurant of the Year 2014.

This is the second time The Pig has won this award in three years, having been awarded it previously in 2012, after being open for just over a year.

The Pig which describes itself as a restaurant with rooms, is  26 bedroom country house which is original, relaxed and sits comfortably within its environment.

The Pig in The New Forest is all about the walled garden. Everything is driven by the gardener, forager and chef - they grow and find the food, the chef then creates the 25-mile menu (what they can't get from the garden and grounds is sourced locally). This immediacy from garden to plate is The Pig's trademark!
