Villagers raised funds to acquire a field for use as a recreational / wildlife area for the community of Tiptoe, and the Tiptoe Green Trust was set up
Hordle Parish Council’s planning application to change the use of the field from grazing to informal community open space amenity land was approved by the National Park Authority
Partnership working between Hordle Parish Council and the Tiptoe Green Trust, with advice from New Forest Land Advice Service and New Forest National Park Authority officers and rangers
Funding from the Tiptoe community, New Forest National Park Authority, Hampshire County Council, Hordle Parish Council and Big Lottery Fund Awards for All
The Green opened officially in April 2011: it includes disabled access, gravel path, seating and a natural play area for children
Wildlife education opportunities for local school, playgroup, Brownies and special needs youth club.
