Lynden Bowen

Lynden has lived in the Forest area all her life except for four years at University. She is a qualified teacher who now does odd days of supply work, mostly teaching maypole dancing to school groups! Lynden has three children, which she considers to be the best thing she has ever done in her life. Lynden was born at Godshill and her family, Westlake, have been inhabitants of the Fordingbridge area since the 1700s.

She is the Activity Co-ordinator at Sandy Balls Holiday Centre and, currently, one of the Directors. She is a Commoner and helps her sister with her pigs and cattle, the latter being run on the Forest each year. Lynden is also involved with her local Scout group at Copythorne and serves on several committees, including Copythorne Carnival Committee.

Lynden is also a professional entertainer, being folk inspired with a family show based on a campfire idea, and calling at ceilidhs.
