Please support our work today
The New Forest National Park is a unique landscape with the highest number of protected wildlife sites of any UK national park.
It is a living and working remnant of medieval England which encompasses a mosaic of wildlife habitats and archaeological heritage.
As well as the most densely populated of any of the UK’s national parks, this delicate haven is enjoyed by over 13.5 million visitors each year. This means that there are many pressures from development, changes in farming practices and the sheer number of people and associated traffic.
The National Park Authority is working hard to keep it special and to ensure the very features that bring people to the Park are there for future generations to enjoy.
This means striking a careful balance between conserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the park, promoting opportunities for understanding and enjoyment of the Park’s special qualities and supporting the social and economic wellbeing of those living and working in the park.
The National Park is funded by central government and other grants but with your help we can achieve much more.
Please consider making a donation to the New Forest National Park today.
Where your money goes
- General donation
Your donation will help us to increase our education work, carry out important conservation work, and continue our support for commoning.
Your donation will help us to secure the future of this most vulnerable heritage landscape for future generations to enjoy.
- Animal accidents reduction campaign
Each year around 100 ponies are injured on New Forest roads. Help us to educate drivers and take action to reduce the number of animal accidents on the roads.
Please help us reduce animal accidents by making a donation today.
- Please note:
We receive many enquiries each year for memorial benches, trees and plaques. Sadly we are unable to help with these requests as the Authority is not a landowner.
Please consider providing a longer lasting legacy by making a donation and contributing to the protection of our heritage landscape.

Our fundraising promise
We want you to feel confident that you are giving to a responsible organisation when you support our work.
We are therefore committed to ensuring that:
- We are clear and transparent about any funds that we raise and what they are spent on
- All funds raised for a particular project will be used only for that project. (If in exceptional circumstances this is not deemed possible, then the funding will be returned to the donor when contact details are available. When donor contact details are not available, then the donation will be spent on other activities which protect and maintain the Forest)
- We are accountable. Your donation is important to us. The New Forest National Park Authority accounts are fully audited and are available on request.
