Educational resources and loan boxes
Looking for exciting resources to support your teaching of local history?Need hands on activities to inspire your pupils?
These educational resources will enhance lessons and enthuse and excite children, making history not only relevant, but fun and interesting, and will enable you to integrate a range of archaeological themes into your teaching.
Accessible to all, the resources make archaeology fun and exciting. With genuine artefacts to handle, learning can become a voyage of discovery!
Featuring our own local archaeology and history, the materials provide links to, and information on, local sites.
Information packs include facts, activities, pictures, maps and games that bring history to life! These on-line resources are supported by loan boxes containing costumes, games, genuine archaeological artefacts and replica objects.
To access the resources click on the relevant pages. The resources have been made possible by the generous support of our funders and are freely available to download. Any feedback would be welcome; we can then continue to improve and update them.
Loan Boxes: Available to local schools to back up the downloadable resources
