We receive a wide range of planning applications and as one of our Planning Officers you will be assigned a case load of householder and other planning applications. You will travel to application sites, assess the planning issues and make recommendations to the team leader and on occasion to the planning committee. You will also liaise with a wide variety of external consultees as well as specialist officers inside the Authority.
Ideally, you’ll be a recently qualified Planner, or a graduate looking to commence a career in planning with plenty of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills within a highly protected landscape. You will be based at our headquarters in Lymington, Hampshire and will need a valid driving licence.
We are responsible for conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the New Forest and for promoting opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of its special qualities by the public.
Permanent position, 37 hours per week.
