Mark has been interested in photography for as long as he can remember.

Over the years he has used various compact cameras but started taking 'serious' images with an SLR in the mid 1980s, going on to shooting a lot of ice hockey for various publications and teams in the 1990s, mostly in black and white.

Mark's other main interest is cars and since the late 1990s he has photographed British motorsport for publications all over the world as well as undertaking public relations work for various manufacturers.

An early adopter of technology, Mark's first digital camera was acquired in late 1999, so he has not shot a single roll of film this century.

The contrast between high speed motorsport action, bone crunching ice hockey and the more sedate pace of shooting landscapes is massive but Mark loves being at one with the landscape, especially somewhere as beautiful as the New Forest.

Recently Mark has been commended in the annual Landscape Photographer of the Year Competition and his image is featured in the book that accompanies the competition as well as appearing in the exhibition at the National Gallery in London.

Mark also runs photography workshop tuition courses in the New Forest and at other locations in the UK.
