John Muir Award

d

The John Muir Award is a national environmental award scheme.  It encourages people to connect with, enjoy, and care for wild places.

What does it involve?  f

To achieve a John Muir Award everyone taking part needs to complete four challenges:

  • Discover a wild place
  • Explore its wildness
  • Conserve - take personal responsibility
  • Share experiences.

The wild place (or places) can be school/centre grounds, local park, beach, woods, river, or mountain. The New Forest National Park is an ideal place to complete your John Muir Award.

Who is it for?

The John Muir Award is open to people of all backgrounds and you can take part as a group, family or individual.
