Woodgreen Community Shop and Post Office was opened in January 2007. During the next 4½ years money was raised for a new purpose built sustainable building. The shop moved to new premises in May 2011.

Woodgreen is in the North West corner of the new Forest, 2 miles from Fordingbridge and 8 miles from both Salisbury and Ringwood. There is ample walking in the area, a pub, a church, a chapel, and a village hall with renowned painted murals. There are also several B&Bs.

The shop is light, airy and spacious and has a seating area inside and out for customers to sit and enjoy freshly baked Danish pastries and cakes. Hot drinks are available from the coffee machine. Sandwiches and other snacks are also stocked.

Basic household goods, newspapers, magazines and groceries are sold but we also sell Local Food such as cheeses, cakes, drinks, meat, fish, jams, chutneys, homemade quiches, puddings etc. Our eggs are local, free range and we also stock local organic eggs. At certain times of year we sell fresh herbs, plants and flowers, all locally grown.

Car parking is ample and we have recently received a disability access award.

Opening hours are as follows:

  • 6.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
  • 6.30am to 5pm Saturday
