Local information points are places where you can go to find out more about the National Park and the local area. Information points have friendly staff on hand to assist you as well as maps, leaflets and publications available on what to see and where to go.

Opening times: Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm. When The Herald office is closed, Visitor Information can be found at the Hythe Ferry entrance

Located right opposite the entrance to Hythe Pier and adjacent to the main village bus stop and taxi rank, The Herald offers a range of information for both visitors and residents, including bus timetables, local attractions and places to go, maps, walks, leaflets and information sheets about the local area. The Herald also stocks a range of local interest books all focussing on the Waterside, New Forest, Southampton and surrounding areas. The Herald is pleased offer a unique range of souvenirs, photography and gifts depicting Hythe, The Promenade and the famous Hythe Ferry.
