Meet the rangers

There are three rangers who focus on a particular area of the National Park:

  • Chris Marshall is the Coastal Ranger, working mainly in the east of the National Park
  • Claire Sherwood works mainly in the south west and central parts of the National Park
  • Craig Daters covers the north of the National Park.

To see the areas they cover, view this ranger map.

They are led by Lead Ranger Gillie Molland, who has overall responsibility for the ranger team.

In addition Dawn Rayment is the People and Wildlife Ranger. Dawn is part of New Forest District Council’s ‘Green Way’ strategy which covers both the National Park and the surrounding towns and villages. It aims to reduce the recreational impacts on the internationally-important areas of the New Forest from people moving into new housing developments.
