The New Forest National Park Authority is keen to involve people in its work and plans. Through consultation there is the opportunity for everyone who has an interest in the Park to help plan its future.

Details of our current consultations are listed below. If no consultations are showing we have none being carried out at present.

Minerals and Waste Supplementary Planning Documents

Work has started on two supplementary planning documents (SPD) to the Hampshire Minerals and Waste Plan (2013).

These relate to:

  • Oil and Gas Development
  • Minerals and Waste Safeguarding.

A period of public consultation runs from 29 June to 7 August 2015.

Application for Designation of a Neighbourhood Area for Lymington & Pennington - July 2015

Lymington & Pennington Town Council has applied to the National Park Authority and New Forest District Council for the designation of a Neighbourhood Area covering the whole of the parish. Further details can be found on our Neighbourhood Planning webpage.  The Parish includes land in both the National Park (Pennington Common and the Pennington Marshes) and New Forest District Council's administrative area.

Before the Neighbourhood Area is confirmed, comments on the boundary of the Neighbourhood Plan Area proposed by Lymington & Pennington Town Council are invited. Comments should be sent to New Forest District Council by Friday 4 September 2015 at:

  • Policy & Plans Team, New Forest District Council, Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, SO43 7PA.

Before the Neighbourhood Area is confirmed, comments on the boundary of the Neighbourhood Plan Area proposed by Hythe & Dibden Parish Council are invited. Comments should be sent to New Forest District Council by Friday 18 September 2015 at:
