Protecting the New Forest National Park

The New Forest has long been recognised as a beautiful place, rich in cultural history and wildlife habitats, and superb for recreation and relaxation.

Designation as a National Park puts it in the premier league of British landscapes worthy of protection for the future.

Caring for the National Park is for us all – as individuals, communities, businesses and other organisations. If we all play our part, the forest will still be worthy of National Park status when our grandchildren inherit the responsibility.
