Dog walking

Dog-walking is very popular in the National Park.

With free-ranging ponies and cattle and sensitive wildlife (for example breeding birds and deer), care is necessary when dog walking on the open forest.

The Forestry Commission has produced a guide to help dog-walkers minimise any disturbance to wildlife and other users.
