Situated in the South-east of the country, the New Forest is ideally placed for easy access by rail and bus, enjoying a good rail service and good road links.
Train: good links to Southampton, Bournemouth, London and further afield. There are over 130 stopping trains a day at Brockenhurst, which is on the mainline from London Waterloo.

Stations near to the National Park: Hinton Admiral, Hythe, Lymington, New Milton, Totton
Bus: links from Bournemouth, Christchurch, Southampton, Salisbury and Romsey
Ferry: links from the Isle of Wight at Lymington, and from Southampton at Hythe
Car: with such good public transport links, it is easy to leave the car at home and enjoy a car-free visit to the New Forest. If you do choose to travel by car, the National Park is accessible from the M27 if you are coming from the east, or on the A31 if arriving from the west. From the north, take the A388 or the A36 from Salisbury.
