Tools
Info: click on the map to obtain information about the nearest visible map feature.
Zoom in: click on the map and drag the mouse to mark a rectangle. The map will then zoom in until the rectangle fills the map window.
Pan: depress the mouse over the map to pick it up. You can then move the map around using the mouse.
Print: opens up the printng tools panel.
Help: opens this page.
Home: returns the map to its initial position.
Copy link: copies a URL which will show the current map location to your clipboard, ready to be pasted into emails, etc.
Reset: restores the map layers to their initial state.
Zoom in and out: zoom the map by a factor of 2. Alternatively, click on the scale bars in between, or select from the drop-down list, to pick a scale between 1:625 and 1:100,000.
Key Map
The key map shows the particular area within the Park that you are currently viewing. You may click on this map to zoom to that location. If you wish, the toggle button in the corner of the key map can be used to hide and redisplay it.
Quick Search
Select from a number of pre-defined maps. First pick the general category of locations, then the individual location you wish to display.
Address Search
Enter the particulars of a property you with to locate and search the online gazetteer. If you only know part of the address, we will locate all addresses that contain the relevant entry - for example, searching for "Church" will locate both Church Street and Church Lane.
Map Layers
The online mapping contains various layers of information. You may make additional ones visible - or hide the existing ones for clarity - simply by selecting the layers you wish to view in this panel. The Reset button will return them to their initial state. Note that some layers only appear at map scales where they are suitable to be shown.
Printing
You may select an area of the map to print, and the scale at which you want to create your print. This will generate a PDF document which you can preview, and then download to your computer.
