New Forest Tour
The New Forest Tour offers an open top experience of the National Park and the opportunity to explore the Forest in a fun and exhilarating way. The circular route has something for everyone; whether you want to explore the shops in Lymington, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Beaulieu or the visitor attractions of Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway and the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.
In 2010 the Tour will operate for 86 consecutive days between 19 June and 12 September.
The Tour is the perfect opportunity for visitors and local people to see England’s smallest national park from a different perspective; taking in the magnificent views of heathland, forest, countryside and coastline.
It is also a great excuse to leave your car at home; reducing traffic and carbon emissions in the Forest. The New Forest Tour also joins up with other car-free initiatives and links to local rail networks and bus routes.
For bike-lovers, the tour bus has room onboard for up to four bikes in total, at no extra cost. The tour route has been designed to link to the Forestry Commission’s cycling and walking gravel track network.
The introduction of a commentary on the New Forest Tour makes the experience complete. Now visitors can learn about the fascinating history of the National Park while taking in its breath-taking scenery.
