Monitoring
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires local planning authorities to submit an Annual Monitoring Report to the Secretary of State by 31 December each year. The report should:
- set out progress on Local Development Document preparation against the timetable outlined in the authority’s Local Development Scheme;
- assess the extent to which current planning policies are being implemented;
- identify the significant effects of implementing policies in Local Plans / Local Development Documents and whether they are as intended;
- set out whether policies are to be amended or replaced.
The Annual Monitoring Report covers the period from 1 April one year to 31 March the following year.
The
2006/2007 Annual Monitoring Report (240 KB) was produced by the National Park Authority and covers the period 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007. It is supplemented by the Hampshire Minerals and Waste Development Framework Annual Monitoring Report which sets out minerals and waste data for the Hampshire area (including the whole of the New Forest National Park) over the same period.
The
2005/2006 Annual Monitoring Report (190 KB) was produced jointly with the New Forest District Council. As the National Park Authority only took over its planning powers in April 2006, it was not a planning authority during the monitoring year for which data is presented in this report (April 2005 to March 2006). Consequently, the report contains monitoring data only for the New Forest District area. However, it does contain information relating to the production of the National Park Authority’s Local Development Framework.
