Monitoring
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires local planning authorities to submit an Annual Monitoring Report to the Secretary of State by 31 December each year. The report should:

- assess the extent to which current planning policies are being implemented;
- identify the significant effects of implementing policies in Local Plans / Local Development Documents and whether they are as intended;
- set out whether policies are to be amended or replaced.
The Annual Monitoring Report covers the period from 1 April one year to 31 March the following year. The following reports are available:
2008/2009 Annual Monitoring Report (334 KB)
2007/2008 Annual Monitoring Report (343KB)
2006/2007 Annual Monitoring Report (240 KB)
