Design and access statement
New legislation by the government now requires applicants to provide a Design and Access Statement to accompany all planning applications within the "designated areas" (which includes the National Park) with the following exceptions:
- change of use applications ( where no building works are involved)
- proposals for engineering or mining operations
- advertisement applications
- tree work applications
- storage of hazardous substances
Below is a guidance notice that has been produced by the Authority to assist applicants in the preparation and submission of Design Access Statements.
Guidance on Design and Access Statements (55 KB)
