Q1. Where can I find information about the National Park to support curriculum work?
The factsheets and case-studies are specifically designed to target the key issues and themes relating to the New Forest National Park whilst ensuring that they tie in with curriculum requirements. These are categorised into different themes to enable easier access to the relevant section. The Forestry Commission also has fact-sheets that support educational work about the New Forest.
Q2.. Do you provide class resources?
All the resources on the web-site are downloadable and please feel free to copy them for educational use. If you would like information for a specific project please get in touch with us directly. If you would like students to enquire we would appreciate a collective approach rather than individual requests.
3. What are the key messages the National Park Authority is trying to convey?
There are many key behavioural and educational messages that the National Park Authority is trying to get across. The main ones are to:
- increase awareness, understanding and enjoyment of the New Forest National Park
- encourage a change in attitude and inspire young people to make choices in their daily lives that lead to sustainable use of the New Forest and foster wider global sustainability

Q4. What educational opportunities exist in the National Park?
The New Forest is rich in educational provision and opportunities for learning outside the classroom. There are several residential centres located within the Park, not to mention the wide range of museums, country parks and day visit centres. Q5. What options are there for planning a visit?
There are a range of options available to group leaders wishing to bring young people into the New Forest National Park. The education links page directs you to educational providers, adventurous activity providers, places of educational interest and specific opportunities for youth groups and life long learning. The National Park Authority is also able to meet groups in the Park for specific National Park related studies (see below for details). If you are planning a self-led visit have a look at the planning your visit section for advice and guidance to ensure a smooth trip.

The National Park Authority is able to meet groups in the Park for specific studies involving National Park policy and planning, the role of the National Park Authority, an overview of tourism and recreation within the National Park, recreation and visitor management strategies and other studies specifically relating to the National Park Authority.
