New Forest National Park Volunteer Fair 2018

The New Forest Volunteer Fair will once again be full to bursting with volunteer opportunities to suit all tastes when it returns this January

Visitors will have the chance to join more than 40 organisations, helping them to inspire youngsters, record wildlife, restore landscapes and help some of society’s most vulnerable.

People of all ages are welcome at the free fair, which will take place on Sunday 28 January at Lyndhurst Community Centre.

As well as browsing the display stands, visitors to the fair can gain further insight into volunteering in the New Forest through talks from local groups.

Fundraising Book Fair

Bring some books, buy some books and raise money for the New Forest Centre Museum.


Ernest Hemingway said: 'There is no friend as loyal as a book.' So come along and find yourself some new 'friends' at our fundraising book sale.

Winter Paddling

Date: 1 November 2017 - 31 March 2018

Every day

Location: New Forest Activities, Baileys Hard, Baileys Hard Lane, Beaulieu, Hampshire, SO42 7YF

Time: 10:00 - 15:30

Cost: £18

Available from November 2017 - March 2018. As the weather gets chillier, wrap up warm and take to the water on one of our Winter Paddles!


Choose between single seater kayaks or two or three seater canoes for a full two hour guided tour out on the water. The Beaulieu River has some stunning sites throughout the Winter offering up lots of fun despite the season.

Price: £18 per person duration (2 hours).

Availability: see our website for available dates.

Session times: 10am - 12pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm.

Half hour for arrivals and initial kitting up and up to two full hours of guidance and instruction.

Instruction from a qualified coach to help you master the basics and feel confident on the water, followed by a guided journey out and back from Baileys Hard River depending on tides & weather.
