Bring your own camera, whether it is a digital SLR, bridge or compact camera and learn how to use the functions and settings you will need to improve your photography.

Your tutor John Combes is an experienced wildlife photographer and lecturer will teach you about the equipment and techniques used by nature photographers from the basics up including:

  • Exposure
  • Focal Length
  • Camera Settings
  • The technology and techniques used in nature photography.

After the indoor session you will get a chance to practise what you have learned by taking photographs round our Blashford Lakes reserve near Ringwood and take part in an informal and constructive review of the images in an indoor session at the end of the day.

Bushcraft Survivor

Enjoy a full day of Bushcraft at our woodland activity site in the heart of the Beaulieu Estate.

You'll learn a range of techniques from your bushcraft expert including basic survival skills, shelter building and lighting a fire to cook a hearty lunch. Lunch is included and the menu varies depending on the time of year.

Our Bushcraft Survivor days are the perfect way to experience the natural beauty of the New Forest, great for adults, teenagers and groups looking to learn something new. We'll teach you valuable life skills and how to survive in the great outdoors, no matter what it throws at you!
