The New Forest National Park Core Strategy and Development Management Policies DPD – Submission document

The Core Strategy and Development Management Policies Development Plan Document (DPD) Submission Document provides the overall vision, strategic aims and objectives and spatial planning policies for the whole of the administrative area of the New Forest National Park for the period to 2026. The document, when adopted, will set out the overarching planning framework for the National Park, and subsequent development plan documents prepared by the Authority will need to be in conformity with the Core Strategy.

The Authority submitted the Core Strategy on 27 May 2010 to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for Public Examination by an independent Planning Inspector, who will decide if the Core Strategy is ‘sound’ - that is whether it is justified, effective and consistent with national policy.

The Core Strategy Examination in Public page sets out the details of the examination.
