The New Forest National Park archive

We aim to make sure that all of the pages we publish on our website are as accurate, reliable and as useful as possible. We generally leave webpages online just in case visitors find them useful or interesting in the future. However to avoid confusion some pages have a banner notice clearly stating that the page is now an archive. The pages have been left online for reference purposes only and you should be aware that information on these pages may be out of date or otherwise inaccurate due to the passage of time.

Why do we not delete some pages?

Pages often contain a lot of information about past events but may have future interest. It also means if, at a later stage, we revisit the pages they can be updated and the banner removed.

When do we delete ?

In general we only delete pages when the information is so outdated it is inaccurate and vacancies are removed once the closing date has passed.

Take a trip through our collective past by viewing some of the pages already in the New Forest National Park archives. Explore who we are, uncover forgotten stories from the News Archives and see how the forest has changed over time.
