Recreation Management Strategy working group

The Recreation Management Strategy (RMS) sets out the strategic direction for the management of outdoor recreation in the New Forest National Park from 2010 – 2030.

The Strategy seeks to guide and influence recreation and spatial planning policy and implementation across the whole of the National Park and adjoining areas. It will be reviewed every five years.

The Recreation Management Strategy working group will advise and assist the New Forest National Park Authority on the implementation of the Recreation Management Strategy. Its remit is to work to implement the Recreation Management Strategy and monitor progress of the Strategy. The working group will input into the prioritisation of the actions described in the document.  The work of the group ensures real stakeholder involvement - members of the working group were heavily involved in putting the Strategy together and now they are playing a key role in putting the Strategy into action.
