Tony Gentle
Tony was born in 1941 and was educated at Wellow Primary School and Bartley Secondary School. He is married to Rita, has two sons, David and Terry and is now a proud grandfather.
Tony worked for his father in his vehicle repair business in Wellow, which he later owned, and he is now retired.
Tony became a member of Wellow Parish Council in 1991 and has a particular interest in Wellow Common and sporting activities in the village. He became a Test Valley Borough Councillor in 1998 and was Mayor of Test Valley in 2002/03. At present he is on the Southern Area Planning Committee with an interest in affordable housing, tourism and leisure. He is the Deputy Chairman of the NPA’s Planning Development Control Committee.
