60 years of memories
Listen to Charlie Dimmock and other New Forest residents talk about their favourite childhood memories as part of the New Forest National Park Authority’s celebration of 60 years of National Parks.
She joined Bartley Junior School and a panel of New Forest experts as they re-counted their memories of growing up in the New Forest.
Panel members included commoners, Verderers, an expert on World War Two in the New Forest, a wildlife specialist and a forestry manager.
Hear them tell their tales of being stuck in the mud, driving into an aeroplane runway, having 'house cows' and testing parachutes!
